Job Description

A fantastic full time, progressive, permanent Management Accountant opportunity based in Wilmslow with hybrid working available

• Month end accounting for five entities, including income recognition and posting of journals to recognise accrued income and cost accruals
• Monthly commentary to explain variances in actuals against forecast
• Balance sheet reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts and entities on a monthly basis
• Work closely with other members of the Finance team, including:

• The Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly reporting packs for the Board;
• The Financial planning & analysis team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts; and
• The Finance Assistant who is responsible for processing invoices and raising payments
• Deliver financial information to other stakeholders across the business, including heads of department, to monitor their spend
• Challenge areas of underperformance through discussion with stakeholders across the business
• Strive for continuous business process improvement
• Can also be involved in ad-hoc projects and initiatives, for example new system implementation and statutory accounts preparation

Management AccountantWell established, highly progressive and market leading organisation
A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Experience in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Proficiency in accounting software and intermediate Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
