Management Accounting Lead



Reports To:

Deputy Head of Finance



This position requires the successful applicant to be based from our Livingston, Scotland office a minimum of two days per week.



Main Duties & Responsibilities



Leading the timely preparation, production, and critical review of monthly management accounts Partnering with senior managers across the business to challenge variances and drive financial accountability Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity Continuously refine and improve accounting processes in our fast-paced, high-volume environment Collaborate closely with US corporate accounting and audit teams to ensure smooth month-end closes and ongoing SOX compliance Sponsor and help drive systems developments and key finance projects Lead and develop a team of 3 management accountants, ensuring delivery of accurate reporting and actionable insights

The Candidate

A fully qualified (or qualified by experience) accountant with a proven track record of leading finance teams Sharp stakeholder management skills -- you build relationships quickly and influence with confidence Strong technical expertise in Excel and financial systems. Experience with Unit4 Agresso and a background in retail are desirable, but not essential A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for driving continuous improvement
