About Us

Grain to Go Ambleside is redefining "food on the go" - serving restaurant-quality meals with speed, style, and exceptional service. We take pride in fresh, seasonal ingredients and a menu designed for people who care about flavour and quality, even when they're short on time.

We're now looking for a hands-on, passionate Manager to lead our busy Ambleside site.

The Role

As Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of Grain to Go Ambleside - ensuring the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. This is a varied role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, and a love of hospitality.

Key responsibilities include:

Team Leadership

- recruit, train, motivate and manage a small team to deliver excellent service.

Customer Experience

- ensure every guest receives warm, professional service and restaurant-quality food on the go.

Operations Management

- oversee stock control, ordering, cash handling, rotas, and compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.

Quality Control

- maintain the highest standards of food presentation, freshness, and consistency.

Standards & Compliance

- ensure full adherence to licensing, food safety, and company policies.

Hands-On Involvement

- be visible on the floor, leading by example and supporting your team during busy service.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has proven management experience in hospitality, food-to-go, or restaurant settings. Is a natural leader with excellent communication and people skills. Can balance front-of-house energy with back-of-house organisation. Is commercially aware, confident with budgets, rotas, and cost control. Thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Has a passion for great food and hospitality.
