Manager - Business Enablement


This newly created London based position will play a critical role to own and manage Business Enablement activities across GMS UK and AEPSL operations.


This role is part of a high profile, dynamic and business critical team focused on ensuring that GMS (Global Merchant Services) UK creates and maintains strong levels of compliance and continues to adapt to an evolving regulatory landscape, which is critical to the ongoing success of the UK business.


The successful candidate will report to the Director, Business Enablement and will work across GMS business teams and key partner teams (Control Management, Operational Risk and Internal Audit Group) and will be in charge of implementing Project Guardian initiatives across the business as well as managing the first line's implication in the ongoing projects. (Project Guardian is the global project to uplift the Operational Risk and Control Management strategy, within GMNS through strong program management and deep enterprise partnership)

Key Responsibilities:



Coordinate Project Guardian initiatives and represent GMS UK in the different workstreams that require business implementation Develop, maintain and enhance clear, well-documented policies and procedures to support compliance with UK regulatory obligations ensuring consistency and audit readiness Design, develop and deliver projects and process enhancements across the business Manage and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables, escalating risks to delivery where appropriate Centrally coordinate and support RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) work across GMS UK Own, support or manage other GMS UK or AEPSL Business Enablement Regulatory projects as required Maintain high-quality project documentation including action logs, timelines, trackers, and status reports Working in Partnership with key stakeholders such as Control Management, Compliance, GCO, Financial Crimes teams and partner teams to build out and operationalise robust regulatory processes Translate complex processes and information into simple & articulate messages for multiple audiences Become subject matter expert and champion the regulatory & control agenda across GMS UK Drive collaboration across the enterprise and other international markets on compliance and regulatory activities

Minimum Qualifications:



Attention to detail given the complexities involved in the content Strong project management experience with ability to influence and drive change Ability to build and leverage relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Proven ability to understand complex end to end processes including technology, servicing and customer impacts. Track record of dealing with multiple competing priorities and working well under pressure to balance competing priorities successfully. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident presenting to senior management & creating compelling messaging to drive change Flexibility to quickly adapt to a dynamic and changing environment. Ability to re-focus according to business wide strategic priorities. Knowledge of the merchant business a plus
