About the Role



As Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of our wine bar, leading both front-of-house and kitchen teams. Your focus will be on delivering calm, confident service, curating beautiful cheeseboards, managing stock and supplier relationships, and supporting events, tastings, and seasonal menu changes.

You'll work closely with the owner to shape the evolving food and drink offering, maintain high standards, and ensure our guests enjoy an exceptional, welcoming experience every time they visit.

Key Responsibilities



Service and Operations


Act as shift lead and ensure smooth, high-standard daily service
Plate and present cheeseboards alongside FOH staff
Make wine and alcohol recommendations and oversee drinks service
Be a point of contact for resolving operational challenges during service

Team Leadership


Lead the front-of-house team and oversee coordination with the kitchen
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture
Support onboarding, training, and setting service standards

Stock and Cheeseboard Management


Order and manage cheese, alcohol, and dry goods
Monitor stock levels and maintain high standards of prep and hygiene
Ensure consistent quality in cheeseboard presentation and pairings

Events, Promotions and Development


Help plan and deliver tastings, seasonal events, and promotions
Collaborate on marketing content and social media posts
Contribute to the creative evolution of our menus and offerings

Compliance and Financial Management


Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and licensing compliance
Assist in managing budgets, pricing, and profitability
Track sales and stock trends, helping the business grow sustainably

What We're Looking For



Previous hospitality management experience (wine or cheese bar experience is a plus)
Confident wine and cheese knowledge or a strong desire to learn
Calm, organised, and friendly leadership style
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Passion for delivering thoughtful, warm guest experiences
