Your Role as VAT Manager



As a VAT Manager, you'll bring confidence, technical expertise, and a solutions-focused mindset to our VAT function. You'll work with clients across a wide variety of industries and regions -- from local businesses to international organisations -- tackling complex VAT challenges and adding real value.

What You'll Be Doing:



Advising clients on a wide range of UK and international VAT issues. Supporting clients during HMRC VAT inspections, enquiries, and disputes. Conducting VAT Health Checks and delivering tailored advisory services. Keeping VAT procedures and documentation up to date and compliant. Promoting VAT services internally and externally, including marketing efforts. Leading VAT projects with full control over budgeting, billing, and delivery. Mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge. Staying ahead of legislative changes and communicating these to clients and internal teams. Researching complex VAT matters and providing practical, commercial solutions.

What We're Looking For:



Essential:



A motivated and ambitious VAT professional with strong technical expertise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines. Sound experience using accounting and tax software. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.

Desirable:



A professional qualification such as

ACA, ACCA and/or CTA

. Prior experience in a practice environment or with HMRC.
