Duties
Lead and supervise a team of kitchen and service staff, fostering a positive working environment.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
Manage daily operations including staffing schedules, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, presentation, and menu development.
Ensure excellent customer service by supervising serving staff and addressing guest concerns promptly.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all areas of the establishment.
Implement training programmes to enhance team skills in culinary techniques, food safety, and hospitality services.
Monitor financial performance through cost control measures and optimise operational efficiency.
Collaborate with suppliers for procurement of quality ingredients and equipment.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising teams within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts.
Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent team management skills.
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations.
Experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills complemented by strong communication abilities.
