Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Manager for an On-Site Manager role within our company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations and performance metrics of the company and report directly to the Company Director and Business Owner while working in close partnership and building a good working relationship with the senior leadership team at the depot we operate. You will be a leader, a team player and capable of managing a large team of over 60 self-employed delivery associates. The ideal candidate will contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the overall company strategy.

Responsibilities



Accurately plan, Schedule and Roster delivery associates for work the next day to meet the route commitment as allocated by our partner, Amazon Ensure our fleet of vehicles are safe and road worthy before load out by overseeing and managing the fleet team to enforce accurate daily van checks and minor repairs of vehicles on site if needed Oversee the morning operations from when the delivery associates arrive on site through to load out Manage and monitor on road activities to ensure smooth operation Monitor and improve safe driving metrics of delivery associate while out on road Manage daily parcel returns to ensure parcel returns are low. Hereby ensuring all customers get their deliveries and are happy Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for process improvement within the company Attend daily meetings and collaborate efficiently with the station leadership team to ensure smooth operation Represent the Business Owner at meetings where needed or required Weekly reporting to the Business Owner or as and when requested, needed or required Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment to include the van yard where the vehicles are parked Any other duties not listed but needed or required for the smooth operation of the business

Requirements



Proven management experience in logistics is required. Amazon experience is preferred but experience in a similar fast paced parcel delivery business will be considered Proficient in Microsoft packages especially Word and Excel Strong understanding of the company's key performance indicators- KPI Excellent data analysis skills to support decision-making processes Experience managing a team Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously Able to attend a one week comprehensive training at an away station Join us as we strive for excellence in logistics operations, ensuring our customers receive their Amazon orders efficiently and effectively!
