Key Responsibilities:

Identifying operational opportunities across the High Risk department and presenting plans demonstrating improvement from status quo with defined financial measures. Providing clear leadership to the High Risk Shift Managers, coaching and mentoring to ensure success. Liaising with the Health and Safety team to help drive safety initiatives to enable the delivery of the Health and Safety Strategy and KPI's. Identifying Food Safety gaps and leading action based teams to ensure appropriate actions are taken to promote food safety and ensure the department is compliant against external and internal audits. Setting GMP Standards in conjunction site Technical teams, within the operational area and holding the teams to account. Alongside the Factory Manager, developing clear objectives and KPI's which are aligned to the site strategy and cascading these through the PDR process. Ensuring all colleagues with the teams have a PDR discussion at least twice per year. Measurement, trending and driving improvements in areas such as Health and Safety metrics, product quality metrics, labour standards, line efficiencies, changeover time, repacks, stock rotation and stock holding and other key metrics. Reviewing and setting production plans to drive labour efficiencies in line with the budget Developing a departmental people development plan ensuring trained and competent personnel across each of the High Risk areas, ensuring each team has a full succession plan in place. Translate Business Strategy into the day-to-day operation. Demonstrates the ways of working in the day-to-day operation and holds teams accountable for this. Deputises for Factory Manager Liaising with the HR team to ensure al recruitment and ER issues are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner for circa 360 colleagues

What are we looking for?

Proven experience in successfully managing teams within a FMCG based manufacturing environment, ideally product relevant. Experience and track record in delivering organizational CI program Able to analyse, interpret data and identify trends. Ability to influence key stake holders across the business Project management experience and delivery Can plan and prioritise for the best performance. Intermediate level Windows (Word / Excel / Powerpoint), Dynamics 365 Degree Level qualification preferred, but not essential for role. Food Safety qualification HACCP Health & Safety qualification
