To lead and develop the purchasing, materials and planning team, to provide a full procurement facility in a timely manner.
Reporting to Director: Operations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Purchasing
Daily management of the purchasing team to achieve targets
Purchase order approval, in accordance with company procedures.
Management and implementation of Call off Orders, Pricing agreements and contracts.
Achieve delivery requirements in accordance with defined production
schedule.
Supplier purchase analysis and development of key supplier partnerships.
Manufacturing and Engineering inter department liaison
Setting and implementing company standards/procedures for the purchasing department.
Cost Reduction
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Management of supplier price negotiation.
Analyze and implement cost down projects to eliminate unnecessary expense.
Materials
Daily management of the Materials team (warehouse), to achieve smooth flow
inventory, with minimal 'in stock' requirement.
Management and implementation of materials stock analysis and stock value control.
Responsible for company stock takes in both UK and US and reporting of values to senior management.
Planning of the materials team in order to service the requirements of intercompany departments.
Setting and implementing company standards/procedures for the materials department.
Manufacturing Support
Planning of the materials team in order to service the requirements of intercompany departments.
Proactive attitude towards providing support and service to manufacturing.

Degree qualified, demonstrated experience, preferred within OEM environment.
