This role is primarily hybrid working with occasional travel to the Edinburgh office, and occasional international travel to company locations including Poland, US, and Malaysia as required.

We seek an accomplished Product Manager to lead our Evidence Devices Product Management Team. The position is responsible for leading and managing a globally situated team of product managers and product owners across multiple body- and vehicle camera products that deliver safety to public safety organizations and enterprises, world wide.

You will be accountable for delivering best practice and standards in product management and product ownership in your team, while helping define and execute on the roadmap to deliver the next generation of Evidence devices, and balancing the needs of the continuing evolution and maintenance of the existing portfolio of products.

Responsibilities

Work closely with senior product management to understand and refine the product roadmap and vision.

Own prioritization of the feature backlog at the feature and user story level in coordination with individual product managers, product owners and engineering stakeholders

Coach and lead the team of product owners in requirements elaboration of problem solving personas with user stories sufficient for development to estimate, build and validate

Provide operational training and direction to the team, ensuring best practices, industry standards, and internal processes are understood and followed

Identify product owner resource needs and make appropriate assignments of individual responsibilities, tasks and functions

Work with employees to set goals and objectives and to manage performance

Develop and motivate staff to maximize full potential

Persuade and influence others through strong communication

Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice and counsel to Product Management leadership

Develop and demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in all functional areas to help maintain a system-level view during the decision making process

Review epics, features, and user stories from analysts and product teams to ensure quality and completeness

Actively engage in sprint planning and sprint review ceremonies

Ensure backlog and goals for each team are maintained and current

Interview, hire and train team personnel

Practice knowledge transfer and foster change management as the organization changes and new skills are required

Basic Requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of Agile Product Ownership principles and best practices
  • 5+ year experience in product management/product ownership or agile engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Polished presentation skills for internal and external audiences
  • Team player, consensus builder, natural collaborator
  • Proactive in the investment in others
  • Enthusiastic about motivating and leading others
  • Ability to give honest and direct feedback
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Proactive, enthusiastic attitude toward challenging problems
  • Strong decision making and prioritization skills
  • Skilled at developing user personas, problem solving user requirements and user stories
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Firm understanding of software design, user interaction, and user interface design.
  • Experience using Aha!
  • Experience in Law Enforcement / Public Safety software is a plu
  • Pragmatic Institute Certified Product Manager is a plus
  • 5+ years\' experience in related field
