Role overview | Context




We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded Real Estate Manager to shape and execute Checkout.com's global real estate strategy. This role is at the intersection of real estate, finance and people experience - balancing commercial outcomes with the creation of inspiring, connected work environments.


This role will partner closely with Regional People Leaders to plan and execute real estate activity within each region, ensuring alignment on budgeting, headcount planning, and workplace strategy. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of real estate expertise (lease negotiation, transaction management, and portfolio planning) and internal business partnership experience, enabling them to effectively collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, and business leaders on expansion, contraction, and relocation office projects.

Role overview | Remit and Responsibilities



Global Portfolio Management



Oversee Checkout.com's global office portfolio across Europe & UK, the Americas, APAC, MENA & Mauritius, including renewals, expansions, relocations, and terminations. Develop multi-year financial plans and forecasts aligned to business growth and workforce planning. Partner with Finance & Regional Leaders on budgeting, cost tracking, and scenario modeling to optimise spend and maximise ROI. Serve as the central point of contact for FP&A, streamlining the tracking and reporting of Real Estate CAPEX and OPEX requirements Lead lease negotiations and transactions, ensuring commercial competitiveness and risk mitigation. Drive strategic expansion, consolidation, and optimisation projects that enable growth while improving cost efficiency. Act as the primary liaison with our Legal department for heads of terms, lease agreements, lease renewals, terminations

Project Leadership & Vendor Management



Lead complex office move and expansion projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Manage relationships with brokers, landlords, contractors, and consultants, holding them accountable to performance and quality. Embed sustainable design practices where possible and operational efficiency across all projects. Managing office fit-out projects, enabling sharing of best practices and coaching for local teams.

Stakeholder Partnership & Employee Experience



Collaborate with Regional People Leaders to ensure offices reflect local needs and Checkout culture, optimising the in office employee experience. Partner with Regional People Leaders and Finance Partners to forecast and manage real estate budgets, align on regional workplace needs, and ensure local requirements are integrated into global plans. Be the central point of contact for alignment with Workplace Technology team. Influence senior stakeholders with insights that balance financial performance with employee experience.

Data, Insights & Reporting



Maintain accurate real estate data and performance metrics to inform investment decisions. Deliver regular portfolio analytics and insights for executive level reporting.

About You



6+ years of experience in corporate real estate, financial planning, or workplace strategy, ideally in a fast-paced, global environment. Deep understanding of lease management, commercial transactions, and portfolio optimization. Exceptional project management and communication skills Experience working cross-regionally and with brokers or consultants across multiple geographies Proven ability to manage large budgets and deliver data-driven recommendations. Strong stakeholder management skills -- you can influence and collaborate effectively across functions and regions. Passion for the employee experience, with a thoughtful approach to how workspace design supports performance and belonging. High level of autonomy, commercial acumen, and comfort navigating change at pace.
