Teach Me Music Academy - Manager Role Overview

Position: Academy Manager



Type: Remote / Part-time to Full-time (Flexible working hours)



Reports to: Owners



Location: Remote (UK-based)

Teach Me Music Academy is a remote online music school that delivers high-

quality, one-to-one and group lessons in Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Piano,

Production and Vocals.

Our mission is to make music education accessible, engaging, and

personalised for all ages and skill levels. We take pride in o?ering structured

programs, interactive learning resources, and passionate tutors who inspire

students to reach their full potential.

Purpose of the Role



The Academy Manager will act as the operational and administrative

backbone of the business, managing the daily running of the academy and

generating new work for tutors.

You will handle student enquiries, scheduling, tutor management, marketing

and social coordination, and business development ensuring the academy

runs e?ciently, tutors are supported, and student numbers continually grow.

This is a proactive leadership role that combines operations, marketing,

sales, and communication.

Key Responsibilities



1. Operations and Administration



Oversee the day-to-day running of the academy. Manage student sign-ups, lesson scheduling, and tutor allocations. Maintain accurate records of students, lessons, payments, and
attendance.

Communicate professionally with students, parents, and tutors via
WhatsApp, email, and online platforms such as 10to8, Bark and more.o Ensure all tutors follow the academy standard, lesson structure, and

communication policies.

Manage digital resources, blogs, lesson material and social posts for
each instrument.

2. Tutor Management



Coordinate the timetables and availability of all tutors. Match new students with suitable tutors based on skill level,
instrument, and learning style.

Support tutors with materials, onboarding, and updates about policies
or students.

Ensure tutors are delivering consistent quality and following lesson
structures.

Handle any student-tutor issues with professionalism.

3. Student Onboarding and Retention



Respond to new enquiries quickly and convert them into active
students.

Schedule free trial lessons and follow up for conversions. Maintain high student satisfaction and encourage renewals or referrals. Create and distribute welcome packs and progress reports when
necessary.

Monitor student progress and ensure engagement through check-ins
and updates.

4. Marketing and Growth



Manage and execute marketing campaigns (social media posts,
emails, special o?ers).

Help design and promote new student o?ers (e.g., free month, 12-
month packages, referral discounts).

Liaise with the owners on strategy and oversee implementation of
marketing ideas.o Track campaign performance and suggest improvements.

Build relationships with schools, community groups, and potential
companies to increase student leads.

5. Financial and Business Support



Track lesson payments, tutor invoices, and student subscriptions. Ensure accurate record-keeping for financial reporting. Support the owners with budgeting, projections, and growth planning. Identify new opportunities for revenue (e.g., workshops, DofE
programs, short courses).

(Preferred)



Familiarity with musical instruments and basic music education

principles.

Tech Literacy

Competent using Google Workspace, Zoom, spreadsheets, social media,

and scheduling tools.

Leadership

Proactive problem solver, able to work independently while leading a

small team of tutors.

Minimum of 2-3 promotional posts per week and monthly offer campaigns.

Weekly updates to the owners on student numbers, tutor hours, and marketing

results.

Reporting & Communication



The manager reports directly to the Owners. Weekly check-in meeting via Zoom to review operations and growth
progress.

The manager has authority to act on owners behalf in day-to-day
academy matters

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
