Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation meets quality standards. Lead and motivate a team of culinary staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and excellence. Oversee food production processes while adhering to food safety regulations and best practices. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for dishes and presentations. Train new staff members in cooking techniques, food safety protocols, and service standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary to maintain kitchen efficiency. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance and sanitation practices. Handle customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Previous experience in kitchen management or team management is highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team. Experience in serving or barista roles is an advantage but not mandatory. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
