About the Role:

Taylor Woodrow is seeking an experienced Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major substation civil engineering project in Friston. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a critical infrastructure project, ensuring commercial success and compliance throughout the lifecycle.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the project, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting.

Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management.

Ensure accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Provide strategic input on risk management and value engineering.

Collaborate closely with project teams to maintain financial performance and contractual compliance.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Previous experience dealing with change management.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.

Experience within M&E contracts would be beneficial.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
