Job Role


We are now recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on the A511 Improvement Scheme in Leicestershire.



The A511 project involves the upgrade of key roundabouts and the construction of a new link road, enhancing connectivity and reducing congestion in the area. This is a 40 million infrastructure programme delivered under an NEC Option C contract.



As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful commercial delivery of the project. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and oversee all commercial aspects of the scheme, ensuring value for money while maintaining compliance with contractual and financial procedures.

Duties


Lead and manage all quantity surveying functions on the project Provide accurate cost advice and reporting throughout the project lifecycle Ensure contract compliance and manage change control under NEC Option C Liaise closely with operational teams, clients, and supply chain partners Manage procurement and subcontract packages Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team Maintain strong commercial governance and risk management

Person Specification


Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor at a senior or managing level Experience working on infrastructure or highways projects Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly Option C Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Professional membership (RICS or equivalent) is desirable

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
