We are seeking a skilled and driven Managing Quantity Surveyor to join Guildmore.The successful candidate will lead commercial operations, ensure accurate CVR reporting, and support the wider team in delivering projects on time and within budget.



You will play a key role in commercial forecasting, procurement, and cost control--while also identifying and mitigating financial risks. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful financial performance of our projects.

Key Responsibilities



Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects, including budgets, valuations, and reporting. Lead and mentor the quantity surveying team, conducting appraisals and supporting development. Prepare monthly CVRs, forecasts, and commercial reports in line with company procedures. Ensure all contractual and financial obligations are met with clients and subcontractors. Assist with procurement strategies, subcontractor appointments, and pricing models. Prepare, review, and update project budgets and cash flow forecasts. Value subcontract works and manage payments in line with contract terms. Resolve commercial issues and disputes while protecting Guildmore's financial interests. Maintain compliance with ISO standards and internal commercial procedures. Collaborate closely with Quantity Surveyors, Operations, Clients, Finance, and Subcontractors.

Knowledge & Experience Required



Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction market conditions. Proven experience in estimating, construction delivery, and social housing refurbishment. Knowledge of NHF SOR codes, bills of quantities, task pricing, and open book models. Experience managing QS or commercial teams within a construction environment. Strong understanding of JCT, NEC, and NHF standard forms of contract. Familiarity with two-stage procurement processes and frameworks. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.

Qualifications



BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
