About the role

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor within our Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects that support the UK's transition to Net Zero.



Role Profile:



A Managing Quantity Surveyor has significant experience in managing contracts and costs relating to infrastructure and civil engineering projects. They


actively seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality for our clients.


Typically, a Managing Quantity Surveyor will be chartered or in the final stages of achieving professional membership of the RICS (or equivalent) and will be


a peer role model for those less experienced members of the commercial team

What you'll be doing



Experience of NEC contract administration and management


Measure, record and value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures Composition of applications for payment, data assurance/analysis and final account procedures Use and manage project accounting systems, monitor costs, and produce cost vs value reconciliations Review programmes of works and plan commercial activities to meet the requirements of programmes End to end supplier procurement, supply chain management, contract administration and value for money assurance Actively identity, communicate and manage risk in collaboration with the project team Support the development of other team members and provide professional guidance Hold or be working towards professional membership from the RICS or equivalent


Who we're looking for

BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) The following qualities/experience are desirable: Leadership experience Analytical thinking and decision making Communication Teamwork Achievement focus Industry knowledge
