Join Our Team as a Manbassadors GM Community Development Officer
Bolton at Home has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Community Development Officer to co-ordinate and support the delivery of the Manbassadors GM project across Greater Manchester.
This inspiring initiative, funded by the National Lottery, builds on the success of the Bolton Manbassadors project and aims to improve men's mental health and wellbeing by creating stronger, more connected communities across Bolton, Salford, Stockport, and Wigan.
As our Manbassadors GM Community Development Officer, you'll develop partnerships, deliver community-led projects, and empower residents to co-design initiatives that reduce barriers, promote inclusion, and improve lives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the delivery of the Manbassadors GM project in partnership with local authorities, service providers, and community organisations.
Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to promote collaboration and share best practice.
Support men through tailored community interventions that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and social connection.
Identify gaps in services and help design projects that meet local needs.
Prepare funding applications and manage project budgets.
Supervise and support volunteers and temporary placements.
Maintain accurate records for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Promote Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in all aspects of your work and ensure health, safety, and safeguarding standards are met.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Level 4 qualification in a related subject (or equivalent experience).
At least two years' experience in community development, engagement, or partnership work.
Proven ability to plan, manage, and deliver community projects that drive positive change.
Strong understanding of the challenges facing men's mental health and barriers to participation.
Excellent communication, networking, and organisational skills.
Experience securing and managing external funding is desirable.
Confident IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across Greater Manchester.
