Mandarin-Speaking Commercial & Business Liaison

Acumen Automotive Logistics is one of the UK's leading automotive logistics and services providers, working with major vehicle manufacturers and global partners across the supply chain. As we continue to expand our international reach and technical capability, we are seeking a fluent Mandarin-speaking professional to join our senior commercial team.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside the Senior Leadership Team and play an active role across multiple areas of the business -- from commercial operations and business development to digital and software initiatives.

You will act as the bridge between Acumen and its Chinese partners, helping to drive collaboration, identify new business opportunities, and support the smooth execution of projects involving both UK and overseas teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with the business supporting a wide range of business initiatives. Liaise with Chinese clients, suppliers, and technical partners to ensure clear communication and alignment. Translate and interpret during meetings, technical discussions, and negotiations. Support new business development activities, including engagement with new market entrants to the UK automotive sector. Contribute to software and digital project development through coordination, communication, and documentation support. Assist with preparation of commercial proposals, presentations, and reporting. Conduct research and analysis on automotive, logistics, and technology trends relevant to UK-China collaboration. Promote understanding of cultural and business nuances within both Acumen's UK and international operations.
About You:

Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written). Strong understanding of Chinese business culture and communication practices. Ideally, experience in or exposure to the automotive, logistics, or technology/software sectors. Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and proactive. Comfortable working across different departments and managing varied priorities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Confident using Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
