Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Design Engineer to join a growing team. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, and analytical thinking. You will be responsible for planning, designing, modifying, and optimising products to support both design and production functions. Working independently and collaboratively, you will ensure designs are commercially viable, technically sound, and aligned with production capabilities.
Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise SolidWorks 3D CAD software to design and develop products that meet both technical and commercial requirements.
  • Conduct research into materials, components, and manufacturing techniques, staying up to date with industry developments.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed engineering drawings in line with production processes and machinery.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring any updates are clearly communicated to relevant teams.
  • Maintain organised engineering records and documentation.
  • Ensure designs and components comply with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
  • Liaise with manufacturing teams to ensure accurate production of designs, providing engineering support where necessary.
Essential Criteria
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant design/development experience in the concrete batching or crushing & screening industry.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks (3D CAD).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
