Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness - Full-time on site
Contract: 12 months+
Pay Rates: 47.14/hour Umbrella OR 35.02/hour PAYE (+5.09/hour holiday pay)
The Opportunity
Morson is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of BAE Systems for their Barrow-in-Furness site. Play a vital role in shaping world-class engineering projects. You'll help turn design intent into real, safe, and efficient manufacturing processes that meet exacting standards of safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

What You'll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Translate complex engineering designs into manufacturing processes and data.
Support operations with practical manufacturing solutions.
Contribute to peer reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Engage in process quality assurance and safety compliance.
Collaborate across functions to meet project requirements.
Assist in cost analysis, process planning, and risk assessments.
Learn and apply advanced tools such as PFMEAs, process development, and configuration management.
What We're Looking For
Knowledge & Experience
? Experience in root cause analysis and countermeasure reporting
? Familiarity with KPIs and continuous improvement processes
? Awareness of engineering standards and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) regulations
? Experience in team-based, high-performance environments

? Strong communication and collaboration abilities
? Document control and engineering data management
? Problem-solving and process improvement mindset
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
