Overview and Purpose of Role



As a Manufacturing Engineer you will play a key role in driving production efficiency, quality, and innovation. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the most effective manufacturing methods and work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues, implement best-practice processes and continuously improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Main Duties and Responsibilities



Plan, coordinate and implement the most efficient and cost effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and final assembly of machines. Continued development of the companies nesting and BOM management strategies. Coordinate with production, engineering and quality assurance departments to establish / implement containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues. Implementing best practice standard work on shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximise efficiency. Developing, implementing, validating, maintaining and continuously improving capability of capital equipment and tooling Planning and managing Project activities including, assessing risk scheduling resources and costs and gaining buy-off. Supporting Installation and Commissioning of New Equipment Identifying Improvement opportunities for projects and processes ( Six Sigma or Lean)

Job Specification - Skills, qualities & attributes required for this post



E - Essential



D - Desirable



3rd level qualification HND in engineering or equivalent (E) Previous experience as a manufacturing Engineer or a similar profession (E) Good communication skills (E) Ability to work under pressure and in a demanding role and use initiative (E) Experience with PULSE software (D) Experience with CAD Software such as solidworks, plm, Lantek (D) CAD/CAM + CNC Programming Experience (D) Ability use metrics in order to analyse results (E) Strong passion for innovation and results driven (E) Strong planning, prioritising and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail (E) Available to work flexible hours when required with notice. (E)
