Morson is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer
to join an exciting and innovative aerospace programme based inFarnborough
. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in transitioning a pioneering high-altitude aircraft project from R&D into full-scale production.About the Role
As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will help transform design intent into an efficient, safe, and cost-effective production system. You'll work hands-on to optimise manufacturing processes, support production readiness, and ensure high standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement manufacturing systems using
Lean and Cellular Production principles
. Develop and maintainERP/MRP routings
,process instructions
, andstandard operating procedures
. Supportprocurement
,supply chain
, andmake-vs-buy
decisions. Providetechnical problem-solving
for production and suppliers. ConductDesign for Manufacture (DFM)
andDesign to Cost (DTC)
analyses. Drivecontinuous improvement
andRight First Time
quality culture.About You
We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer from an
aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing
background with:Strong knowledge of
assembly, integration, and test processes
. Experience creatingprocess documentation
andERP routings
. Familiarity withRCCA
,APQP
, andcontinuous improvement
methods. ERP/PLM experience (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Arena). Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Experience in regulated environments (CAA, Part G, Part J) or with
Avionics manufacturing
would be advantageous.
