Manufacturing Engineer

About the Job:

We're hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team, focusing on bringing our world-class products to life through smart manufacturing solutions, process improvements, and production support. You'll play a key role in shaping how our products are made, from refining design for manufacture (DFMA), to developing tooling and work instructions, to ensuring every product proudly meets our standards.

This role is ideal for someone who's technically strong, process-driven, and thrives on improving how things are built. You'll also be involved in testing and compliance tasks, helping to ensure our equipment meets industry regulations and safety standards specific to the fitness sector.

Responsibilities:

Leading DFMA reviews to prepare new and existing products for efficient manufacture and assembly. Designing and developing tools, fixtures, and jigs, along with detailed work instructions to support our production team. Driving cost-down, quality-up, and efficiency initiatives across the factory floor. Managing and maintaining compliance and certification readiness, ensuring our products meet the highest internal and external standards. Supporting product testing and verification processes to ensure equipment meets required safety and performance benchmarks. Coordinating and delivering process and product improvement projects, from ideation through to implementation. Working cross-functionally with product design, commercial, quality, and factory teams to solve problems and streamline production. Keeping our technical documentation up-to-date, accurate, and production-ready.

You'd be a great fit if you are/have:

2+ years' experience in a manufacturing engineering or process development role. Strong grasp of design for manufacturing, with the ability to turn concepts into scalable, cost-effective solutions. Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), especially for tooling, fixtures, and production layouts. Confident interpreting engineering drawings, production data, and technical briefs. Comfortable leading projects and managing priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Familiar with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Detail-oriented and methodical. An excellent communicator who works well with multiple departments across the business.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Experience supporting steel fabrication, welding, and powder coating processes. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and managing BOMs or work orders. Experience with product testing, certification processes, or working within regulated manufacturing environments (especially in the fitness or sports equipment sector). Background in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Passion for fitness, strength training, and quality craftsmanship.
