Magnomatics is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-disciplined, detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing / Production Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting production operations through the development and optimisation, of manufacturing processes. A key focus will be on CMM programming and inspection, as well as the creation and maintenance of comprehensive process documentation to ensure quality, repeatability and efficiency in manufacturing.

Main Duties



Work with the Production Manager and Supply Chain Manager to identify data-driven optimisation potential

Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and support quality and safety.

Program and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for part inspection and validation

Support new product introductions (NPI) by developing, maintaining and validating robust manufacturing processes and documentation packages (SWIs, Control Plans and PFMEAs).

Perform root cause analysis and corrective action process (RCCA) for non-conformances.

Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance and Mechanical Design teams to ensure product quality and manufacturability.

Ensure compliance with standards (e.g. ISO9001, EN9100), customer requirements, and internal quality management systems

Responsibility for Continuous Improvement planning within Production/Operations

Develop and enhance ERP system functionality

Objectives



Establish a 'Best in Class' standard for internal SOPs for repeat production processes and supplier validation activities

Integration of process instructions and production routings on ERP.

Improve efficiency and reduce COPQ

Deliver defined strategic Cap-Ex Projects and key Supply Chain Development activities.

Qualifications/Experience



Degree-level qualification in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.

Essential: background in process documentation and process control; hands-on experience of production environment/precision manufacturing (machining or assembly); working knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing

Desirable: Experience and/or knowledge of CMM programming (preferably PC-DMIS); experience of ERP system(s); Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma (A3/DMAIC) methodologies; proficiency in CAD software

Clear and concise communicator, with a keen eye for detail and a desire for excellence

Strong administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to train production staff on technical procedures and documentation use.

Proficient IT skills (MS Office - Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel as a minimum)
