The Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and improving machining processes, supporting new product introduction, and providing technical expertise across production and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement manufacturing methods and process improvements.
Design and develop workholding solutions, including creation of technical drawings.
Simulate CNC programs using Vericut and support CNC prove-outs on the shop floor.
Interpret and apply technical drawings and specifications.
Produce clear technical documentation including SOPs, tooling sheets, and inspection plans.
Provide technical support to production, projects, and commercial teams.
Apply knowledge of special processes, coatings, and heat treatments.
Understand and apply modern measurement methods and techniques.
Promote strong communication and collaboration across functional teams.
Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting best practice and sustainability initiatives.
The Person:
Degree-qualified or apprentice-trained in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience working within aerospace or defence engineering environments.
Skilled in CAD/CAM software and CNC simulation (Vericut).
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
Effective communicator with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Confident working as part of a team and independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.
