At Leonardo, we have an opportunity for an Equipment Engineer to join our onsite team at Southampton.
The successful candidate will support both the Production and Project Functions at our Southampton Site
Working on real engineering problems
Designing and developing solutions that sit at the heart of our production facility
Fulfilling maintenance tasks both reactive and planned
Work Projects can be a mixture of Electronics, mechanical or software
An important facet of project work is to be aware of current innovations, new products, and services which may help us now or in the future.
What you'll bring
The successful candidate will: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide
range of processing equipment. At times working independently but also at times part of a
team.
Must be capable of making technical decisions in their work
Assist in keeping spares aimed at maintenance, repair and upgrade activities
Mentoring and coaching less experienced members of the team in various technical areas.
Be able to plan and manage their own workload, and may also have responsibility for the management of on-site contractors
Be able to Calibrate equipment according to company standards and product new procedures as required.
Produce accurate calibration certificates and maintain traceable records
Be health and safety and COSHH aware
A working knowledge of MS (project, word & excel)
Desirable a knowledge of AutoCAD
You may be asked to on occasion represent Leonardo with UK or overseas supplier visit
