The Role
We are looking for a Manufacturing engineer to oversee the manufacturing systems throughout the facility, supporting Production, Maintenance, and Tooling activities. Driving efficient production, and reduced downtime through a well-structured, proactive approach.
Responsibilities
As the Manufacturing Engineer your key responsibilities will be:
To drive and support continuous improvement activities in all areas.
To develop, evaluate, improve and document manufacturing processes.
Providing engineering support to the Operations Team where needed.
Implementing lean principles as appropriate.
Performing time studies across manufacturing processes to create the correct routings and to optimize the balance of production.
Supporting New Product Introduction.
Sourcing and industrialising equipment.
The person
Five or more years' experience in an equivalent role
A Degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject, or time served experience in a similar role.
Strong project management skills and experience, excellent communication and relationship building.
Experience with Manufacturing Simulation Software is desirable but not essential.
Confident, professional and a hands-on approach.
Working hours & environment
You will usually work standard production hours 07:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Thursday and 07:30am to 12:30pm Friday.
Job Offer
A salary of 38,000 to 42,000 (depending on experience).
