Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Are you a detail-driven manufacturing professional with a passion for process improvement and hands-on engineering? We're hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic technical team in Hayes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting production operations and driving continuous improvement in a cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Creating and updating detailed manufacturing work instructions and tooling documentation
  • Supporting operations on the shop floor by troubleshooting processes and resolving production issues
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams in IT, tooling, maintenance, and supply chain
  • Analysing manufacturing processes and identifying bottlenecks and waste
  • Driving process optimization through Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Developing and managing tooling master data in SAP systems
  • Conducting time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and workflow mapping
  • Assisting in automation and digital transformation projects to improve efficiency
What We're Looking For
  • HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline
  • Proven experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and creating manufacturing documentation
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and inspection regimes
  • Familiarity with metal processing and surface finishing, ideally in aerospace
  • Confident with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office tools
  • A collaborative team player with excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Right to work in the UK without restriction
Working Environment
  • Office-based with frequent work on the production floor (exposure to chemicals may occur)
  • Flexibility required: potential shift work and weekend support during critical phases
  • Occasional travel to partner facilities may be needed
