As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will help lead that charge by turning data into actionable insights, driving process improvements that raise the bar for safety, quality, efficiency, and innovation. This role is critical to our mission of mastering efficiency through data and building a smarter, stronger manufacturing business.

You will be a key player in bridging the gap between product design and scaled production, enabling high-quality output through lean practices, continuous improvement, and collaboration across engineering, production and quality functions.

Key Responsibilities:



Respond promptly to any safety-related issues on the production floor, ensuring that near misses and incidents are technically investigated to identify root causes and implement robust corrective actions Use production data and analytics to identify inefficiencies, drive root cause investigations, and implement improvements aligned with our data-led mission Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, improve quality, reduce waste and increase throughput Lead or contribute to VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance product functionality, and improve manufacturability without compromising quality Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver targeted training -- including toolkit talks and online courses -- aligned with IPC standards and aimed at upskilling production staff Partner with design engineering (Internal & External) during NPI to ensure DFM/DFA principles are embedded early Support commissioning and validation of new and existing equipment, tooling and jigs for production Manage and control preventative maintenance programmes for critical process equipment and tooling, ensuring they deliver operational value and cost-effectiveness Analyse production metrics (eg yield, downtime, takt time) to drive cost-saving and quality initiatives Collaborate with the Quality team to analyse scrap and rework data, applying Lean tools such as A3 problem solving to develop targeted action plans addressing root causes Participate in the supplier approval process by assessing existing suppliers' process capabilities, reviewing scope expansions, and evaluating new suppliers to ensure they meet FermionX quality and risk standards Develop and maintain clear, standardised manufacturing documentation (SOP's, routings, work instructions) Foster a culture of ownership and leadership at all levels by supporting and mentoring production teams Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO13485, H&S, and manufacturing standards throughout all processes Apply lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen and standardised work to support strategic goals Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain & quality to deliver manufacturing excellence

Qualifications & Experience:



Essential:



Degree/HND or HNC in Production/Manufacturing Engineering or closely related discipline. Proven experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, with knowledge of SMT, Conventional assembly, wiring and electro-mechanical assembly processes Awareness of IPC standards including IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Strong track record in identifying and delivering production process improvements Highly proficient in reviewing and modifying BOMs and BOM structures through engineering change control (ECN) Comfortable using ERP/MRP systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel for analysis of material and labour costs to drive efficiencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects under pressure while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions Experience in implementing lean manufacturing practices including 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, Gemba, RCCA, and related tools. Proven success implementing lean/CI projects with measurable results, including use of A3 problem solving methodology

Desirable :



Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) CAD/SolidWorks experience (for jig/tooling design) Familiarity with IPC standards or regulated manufacturing environments Experience in low/medium-volume, high-mix production settings

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
