We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, particularly in plastics injection moulding, and will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards. You will lead a team of operators, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and utilise your mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Duties
Supervise daily manufacturing operations and ensure adherence to production schedules.
Lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Utilise CAD software and SolidWorks to review schematics and assist in the design of tooling and fixtures.
Oversee the plastics injection moulding process, ensuring optimal operation and maintenance of machinery.
Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process enhancements and tooling modifications.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the manufacturing environment.
Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to management.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble, weld, and troubleshoot machinery.
Familiarity with plastics injection moulding processes is highly desirable.
Proficient in CAD software and SolidWorks for design purposes.
Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
