Responsibilities
Assembly and Production:
Assist in the assembly of products, following specific guidelines and quality standards.
Assist in the assembly of products, following specific guidelines and quality standards.
Work with production to assemble products by hand or using machinery.
Follow instructions and blueprints to assemble parts into finished goods.
Ensure that assembled products meet design specifications and are free of defects.
Use tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and wrenches, or operate automated assembly machines.
Machine Operation:
Operate and maintain machines or equipment used in the production process.
Monitor machine performance and report any issues.
Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring they run at optimal levels.
Monitor equipment for signs of malfunction or damage and report issues promptly.
Ensure that all machinery is cleaned and maintained regularly to prevent breakdowns.
Material Handling:
Move materials and components from storage to production lines using trolleys, forklifts, or manually.
Load and unload raw materials or finished goods for transportation.
Maintain proper storage procedures for materials to prevent damage and ensure inventory control.
Monitor material levels and report when supplies need to be replenished.
Collect or return materials, components, equipment, etc from suppliers.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep the manufacturing environment clean and tidy to ensure smooth operations at all times
Follow a scheduled cleaning routine for machines, workstations, and the general production area.
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to by maintaining a hygienic workplace.
Report any issues related to the cleanliness or functionality of the work environment.
Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
Others:
Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.
Work with production to assemble products by hand or using machinery.
Requirements
GCSEs or equivalent (ideally in subjects such as English and Maths).
Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment (Highly desirable).
Experience of power tools
Forklift or other equipment operation licenses (Highly desirable).
Slinging and lifting experience (Highly desirable)
Crane experience would be desirable
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to always follow safety guidelines.
Good physical condition and endurance.
A highly motivated and confident individual with a strong desire to succeed.
A full British driving licence.
Residence and the right to work in the UK.
