Manufacturing Operative - Tankersley
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Manufacturing Operative to join a local company based in Tankersley, Barnsley. This varied role offers full training across all aspects of the factory, providing an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure a permanent position and build a long-term career.
Details and Benefits:

• Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm & 2pm - 10pm (weekly rotating shifts)
• 12.85 per hour
• Working for a highly established and growing business

• Monthly bonuses available after 12 weeks

Main duties:

• Fitting and securing beading around windows and doors
• Installing glass panes and sealing them into frames
• Inspecting glass and materials for quality before use
• Assembling window and door units, adding handles, locks and hinges
• Ensuring all parts are properly aligned and securely fitted
• Inspecting finished products to meet company standards
• Reporting and fixing any defects or issues
• Packing completed products safely for delivery
• Labelling and preparing items for dispatch
• Keeping the work area clean and organised
• Helping maintain tools and machinery
• Meeting daily production goals while maintaining quality
• Following all safety guidelines and using protective equipment

Skills and experience required:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role
• Full training provided for the right person
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
• Good physical fitness for manual handling and lifting
• Ability to work well in a team and meet production targets
