Cook's Cast Stone is a large architectural and garden cast stone manufacturer based in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We design, cast and deliver cast stone products such as garden furniture, steps, windowsills and stone pool surrounds across the United Kingdom. We are looking for a new member of staff to join our team and learn the trade of art stone, design, casting and finishing.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Holme Upon Spalding Moore. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production of our garden and architectural cast stone, ensuring quality and precision in every piece. Your contributions will directly support our commitment to excellence and innovation. A manufacturing or tradesmen background is preferred (Use of power tools, measures and other basic equipment).

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality architectural cast stone Utilize fabrication techniques and hand tools for precise assembly. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications. Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. Maintain accurate records of production activities and materials used. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Manufacturing Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate hand tools effectively. Familiarity with milling processes and tooling techniques. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
