Shoe Maker - Sole Creation

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a

Sole Maker

within our footwear division. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow specific customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture and attach sole units to footwear in line with customer specifications. Work at a bench using hand tools and measuring equipment. Operate machinery including roughing machines, band saws, and pillar drills. Construct sole units based on pre-set work instructions. Work with various materials including leather, EVA, PVC, and rubber. Handle footwear in its unfinished state (without a sole unit attached).

Requirements:

A good understanding of orthopaedic footwear terminology is highly desirable. Previous experience in orthopaedic or general footwear construction is a significant advantage. Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Ability to work in a mature and responsible manner. Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.

Ideal Candidate:

Has prior experience in shoemaking or working with footwear materials. Is mechanically minded and confident using workshop tools and machines. Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in producing quality work.
