Overview
The successful candidate will work within our fast-paced worksurfaces production facility, processing bespoke variations of products required for customer orders.
Main Responsibilities:
To ensure all machined components meet the required quality visual and dimensional standards prior to sending to the internal customer, whilst making provisions to ensure orders are delivered OTIF.
To work methodically from the production plan board in order of priority relating to planned transport collections and that any variations to plan are reported to supervision.
Ensuring correct documents and labels are populated for corresponding product to be shipped and displayed with the job as to be easily identified at the next process.
All products are handled in an acceptable and safe manner which eliminates the possibility of breakage or harm during transportation to the next process inhouse.
Essential Requirements
Ability to read and interpret documents and production drawings.
A positive attitude, a good team player, able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift/manoeuvre stone slabs (with mechanical assistance).
Ability to undertake close inspection work and the ability to differentiate accurately between materials.
The ability to follow the requirements of Standard Operating Procedures and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to solve problems and make improvements to processes.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Well organised with the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.
Resilient with the ability to work in a challenging environment.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations advantageous.
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
Quality control experience minimum 2 years (ISO 9001 desirable but not essential).
Desirable Requirements
Experience working within an automated cell environment.
Experience within the Worktop industry processing Granite / Quartz slabs
Working Hours
06.00hrs to 14.00hrs
14.00hrs to 22:30hrs Monday to Thursday, 14.00hrs to 20.00hrs Friday
15% shift allowance is payable for this 2 shift rotating pattern
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 13.13-15.10 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
