We're an ambitious, fast-growing manufacturing start-up delivering innovative solutions to the construction and building materials sector. With increasing demand and a new production facility coming online, we're looking for a Manufacturing Planning Manager to help us scale efficiently and sustainably.
This is an opportunity to build processes from the ground up, lead the planning side of our ERP rollout, and have a real impact on production performance, customer service, and overall business growth.
The Role
You'll be our first dedicated Planning Manager - owning all aspects of production scheduling, material planning, and ERP system design. You'll work closely with our Operations, Design and Production teams to ensure we're delivering the right products, at the right time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
Develop all production planning, scheduling and outbound logistics processes from scratch
Translate sales forecasts and customer demand into efficient production plans
Lead the ERP planning module setup, including BOMs, routings, and lead times
Ensure material availability and manage inventory levels
Monitor and report on KPIs such as OTIF, inventory accuracy, and schedule adherence
Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and planning
Minimum Job Requirements
5+ years' experience in manufacturing planning
Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
Hands-on mindset - you're happy rolling up your sleeves and fixing what's broken
Start-up/SME experience or ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
Excellent communicator and problem solver
Able to lead, influence, and implement processes
Experience in ERP implementation or upgrade projects
Familiarity with Lean / Continuous Improvement
Qualities & Attitude
Ability to think and act safely at all times
Recognise the importance of teamwork and building effective relationships in the workplace
The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative and contribute towards process improvement
Adept at training and learning new procedures
