Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our operations team. You will play a key role in supporting new product introductions, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and optimising production processes through lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities



Optimisation of coating and converting processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency and safety.

Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept to full-scale production.

Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain.

Work closely with maintenance engineers and production operators to ensure smooth process integration and troubleshooting.

Analyse process data and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.

Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.

Lead and participate in a range of engineering and manufacturing projects.

Requirements Essential:



Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline).

Minimum 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Ability to analyse data, highlight trends and drive data-based decision making.

Ability to develop product and process understanding of range of graphics products.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative.

Desirable:



Experience with continuous web coating and/or converting processes.

Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma tools.
