Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join us at Honeywell, in Edinburgh, UK, where you will be responsible for mechanical and hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques.



This is a permanent, full-time, day shift role: Mon-Thu: 08.00-17.00, Fri: 08.00-13.00.


You may be required to work occasional shift: Mon-Wed: 20.00 - 06.00, Thu: 20.00-04.30

Key responsibilities



Hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques Mechanical Assembly following a prescribed build process Following detailed assembly and test instructions Microwave testing using network analyzers Fault finding on microwave products and identifying manufacturing improvements Carrying out visual quality checks, packing and labelling of finished parts

Key skills and qualifications



Understanding of microwave signals / electrical circuitry Proven experience working within an Assembly and/or Manufacturing environment Excellent attention to detail, dexterity and hand-to-eye co-ordination Working as part of a team Good time keeping and flexibility Showing initiative

Formal training on electronics and/or microwaves Confidence in using Windows-based PC programs Proven record in fine detail assembly Proven record in microwave and electronic product testing
