Position:

Manufacturing Technician

Salary / Hours:

25,350 - 28,000 a year / 39 Hour Monday to Friday (Half Day Friday)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks involved in the assembly and production of tube-based components and assemblies, predominantly used in the aerospace industry. This role demands attention to detail, precision and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

Manual deburring of machined parts to remove burrs, sharp edges and imperfections using manual tools and techniques. Employ precision and attention to detail ensuring the quality and safety of the final product.

Tack and orbital welding of sensitive pipe assemblies made of stainless steel.

Handle and transport raw material, components, and assemblies within the manufacturing facility.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including the correct use of PPE, following safety protocols, reporting any equipment malfunctions, and performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

Maintain documentation, to ensure accurate records of production activities are recorded, including quantities produced, issues encountered, and adjustments made during the production process.

Willingness to work extra hours where required.

Ability and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Fast learner willing and able to take exams where necessary.

Desirable requirements:

Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes is advantageous although not essential.

Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field is also advantageous, although not essential. Full training will be provided.

Forklift licence.
