Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse looking to make a significant impact in palliative care? We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team in our Community in Glasgow covering the Northwest and Northeast regions. You will be a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, providing specialist palliative care to individuals with terminal illnesses, their loved ones, and health professionals within the community.

Marie Curie is the UK's leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they're likely to die from.


The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.


We want a different society than the one we live in now. Our mission for the next five years is to close the gap in the number of people missing out on what they need at the end-of-life, through 3 ways:

Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse looking to make a significant impact in palliative care? Join us as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Marie Curie! As a level six practitioner in line with the Marie Curie Career Development Framework (AFC Band 6), you will be an integral member of our multidisciplinary team. You will provide specialist palliative care nursing services to individuals living with a terminal illness, their loved ones, and health professionals within the community. Working autonomously, you will manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, offering expert advice and support.


Your role will exemplify person-centred leadership, clinical excellence, and effective multidisciplinary collaboration, ensuring that Marie Curie meets its strategic goals and positively influences the care received by terminally ill individuals and their families. Adhering to relevant legal, ethical, capability, and clinical frameworks, as well as Marie Curie policies and procedures, you will be accountable for your actions within the scope of your role. Salary

:

Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 6 (aligned with AFC) 39, 912 - 48,635 pro rata per annum + enhancements

Contract

:

Permanent - Part Time Hours 22.5 per week Monday to Friday

What we're looking for:

Experience working in Specialist Palliative Care Proven experience in providing care to patients with complex needs, ensuring comfort and quality of life during terminal illness. Relevant post-registration qualification (minimum Level 6) and nursing degree Driver's license and access to a car is essential for travelling to various locations to provide care and support to patients and their families in their homes. Registered Nurse on NMC register (Adult) Must be a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, ensuring adherence to professional standards and regulations. Ability to connect with patients and their families on an emotional level, providing support and understanding during difficult times.
