Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Community Enhanced Hospice Care at Home service in Edinburgh on 12-month fixed-term contract part time hours. This vital service supports patients with complex palliative and end-of-life care needs in their own homes, helping to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospice inpatient units or acute hospital settings. Working closely with a dedicated medic and the district nursing team, you will manage your caseload and provide holistic care. Responsibilities include symptom assessment, medication reviews, replenishing syringe drivers, and offering emotional and practical support to families.

: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC) 33,247 pro rata - 41,424 pro rata



Contract

: 12 months Fixed Term Contract - x 2 positions available 23 hours and 34.5 hours per week



Base

: Community role but base will be Marie Curie Edinburgh Hospice

What we're looking for:



Demonstrated understanding and experience in palliative and end of life care in the community is desirable but not essential. A holistic and person-centred approach to nursing practice Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care to those at the end of life
