Contract Type: Permanent, Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Reports to: Training Delivery and Quality Manager
Location: CMN Office, Falmouth but will be required to travel, primarily within Cornwall
Purpose: To be responsible for delivery and development of engineering training and assessment, undertaking vocational qualifications and apprenticeship programmes in engineering industries. To ensure that teaching, learning and assessment is of the highest quality and meets and exceeds customer/ learner expectations.
The role is seeking individuals with skills and experience in all or some of the following:
Marine Engineering
Sheet metal working
Welding
Hydraulics
Electro-mechanical maintenance
Fluid power systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the enrolment of learners and apprentices when starting their training to confirm appropriate apprenticeship standard has been selected, making sure all documentation is shared with the
Apprenticeship Delivery and Quality Assurance Manager and Trainee Contract Manager.
Be responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices across Engineering Standards, and other apprenticeship pathways as required by the Training Delivery and Quality Manager, and be the first point of contact with the apprentice and their employer ensuring:
- all resources to enable learning to take place and recording of progress is arranged and allocated.- workplace assessment & training is carried out- learner records, information and data is kept up to date and relevant and shared appropriately with the Claims and Operations Team.- a safe learning environment is maintained by supporting apprentices in understanding how to keep themselves, and others, safe and notifying management of any risks.- Deliver IAG to support each learners' decision making and progression ambitions through careers guidance, signposting to the relevant organisations and agencies.
