Are you passionate about embedding data-driven insight at the heart of strategic decision-making? We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to join Imperial as a Market Insight and Data Manager.
In this high-impact role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver self-serve data, analysis, and insight that inform decisions at the highest levels of the University. With a particular focus on the pre-enrolment journey, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the University's strategic direction and supporting its ambitious objectives.
What you would be doing

The main objective of the Market Insight and Data Manager is to lead the development of business intelligence, analytics, and market insight capability across the Marketing, Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions (MORA) department and the wider University.
You will:
Take ownership of projects aligned to a strategic roadmap, applying strong project management skills to deliver initiatives effectively.
Lead the development of self-serve BI solutions, managing everything from ETL pipelines and data models to dashboards in Power BI and Dynamics 365.
Champion a self-serve culture and build communities of practice to upskill colleagues in data literacy.
Deliver market analysis and insight on areas such as fees and funding, competitor positioning, application and enrolment trends, applicant behaviour, and portfolio development.
Provide strategic input that informs committee papers, planning processes, and University-wide initiatives.
Manage and mentor Market Insight and Data Officers, ensuring the delivery of a coherent and impactful BI estate.
What we are looking for

Experience of leading the development of a BI estate, including ETL and presentation layers.
Experience of analysing large and complex datasets (e.g. UCAS, HESA) to deliver actionable insight.
Strong project management skills, with proven ability to deliver against a strategic roadmap.
Ability to champion data-driven decision making, promote analytical best practice, and build stakeholder engagement at all levels.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead a team effectively.

The department (MORA) have recently moved to our state-of-the-art offices in White City Media Works, which is the heart of the new campus being built in the area. The department operates hybrid working, with the expectation of at least two days in the office.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week).
