Due to growing business demands, we have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Administrator to join our established team at Ferguson Transport & Shipping, based at Corpach, Fort William.

The role is based at our Head Office in Corpach, Fort William and will report to our Business Support Manager whilst working closely with the Group Managing Director, Travelling and overnight stays will be required to fulfil the requirements of this role; therefore a valid driving licence is essential.

Main responsibilities of the role are to:

Promote the company's services across transport, shipping, rail, warehousing, and port facilities. Market Kishorn Port & Dry Dock to key sectors including oil & gas, renewables, decommissioning, marine, and more. Create and manage content for websites, social media platforms, press releases, and advertising materials. Copywriting for marketing communications, including online content, media releases, and award submissions. Coordinate and maintain consistency in corporate branding across all materials, including websites, social media, signage, photographs, exhibition stands. HGV livery, leaflets, folders, business cards, PowerPoint presentations. Online listings, radio, print media (newspapers/magazines), uniforms, and merchandise. Assist with developing and updating content for both Ferguson Transport & Shipping and KPL websites. Manage and populate all social media channels (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn). Plan and coordinate company events, exhibitions, and community outreach. Work closely with HR to support recruitment campaigns, including: advertising job opportunities, attending career fairs and events, creating tailored promotional materials (e.g. student booklets and presentations) Ensure all correspondence (emails, letters, etc.) reflects a high professional standard. Coordinate company branding efforts and maintain up-to-date marketing materials. Manage memberships and affiliations with external organisations. Support with miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.

The successful candidate should have:



Qualifications & Education:

HNC/HND or degree-level qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field -- or equivalent experience.
Experience:

Previous experience in a marketing, communications, or administrative support role. Proven ability to create engaging written content for a range of platforms. Experience in managing social media accounts and website content. Experience coordinating events or supporting event planning. Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in written work. Good organisational and time-management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using digital tools such as content management systems and social media platforms. Basic understanding of SEO, analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), and digital marketing principles.
Other Requirements:

Full UK driving licence (due to occasional travel and attendance at events). Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required. Right to work in the UK.
