Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager("MCM") to focus on and help us raise awareness of our wonderful Prep School and Nursery.

Reports to: Head of School and School Business Manager

Hours, Salary & Benefits:



Hours: Permanent contract, year round, full time. 40 hours per week.

Salary: 32,000-35,000 dependent on skills and experience

Start date: 1st September 2025

Key Responsibilities:



Implement the school's marketing strategy, ensuring consistent application of the school's brand and key messages in all content. Work collaboratively with the Head, staff, the central Wishford Admissions & Marketing team. Produce and implement a detailed monthly content plan which reflects the marketing strategy and key messages, and engages the wide range of audiences the school seeks to reach with high quality content. Manage and keep updated the relevant sections of the school's website, undertaking regular audits of content for accuracy and relevancy. Manage the social media channels following the agreed content plan and brand guidelines. Work with the Wishford Digital Marketing Manager to plan and run campaigns. Monitor and evaluate performance and impact of marketing activities, using relevant metrics and tools. Work within an agreed marketing budget and allocate resources efficiently and effectively. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as parents, children, staff, partners, and media outlets. Engage with colleagues to generate buy-in for marketing activities and content creation. Manage and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns. Oversee a rolling programme of updates to keep the school's marketing collateral up to date. Contribute marketing data for statistical marketing and recruitment reports. Support the running of effective and inspiring events which successfully promote the school. Assist the Headmaster as required with presentations for open days, speech day and events. Assist with internal communication and liaise with personnel as required. Produce the School newsletter.

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Very high standards and attention to detail. Ambition, energy, enthusiasm and commitment. A positive can-do attitude and willingness to be hands-on. A strong entrepreneurial spirit. The ability to multi-task effectively. Excellent organisational, time-management and task-management skills. Confident user of IT systems. Ability to build relationships with and influence stakeholders.
