What You'll Be Doing




As the Digital Lead within our Marketing and Communications team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing data-driven digital strategies to increase awareness, drive engagement, and support lead generation across all areas of the charity.


Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement, you'll lead on digital campaigns, SEO, social media, PPC, and website optimisation. You'll also work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure our digital marketing is aligned with brand standards and strategic goals.

Digital Strategy & Campaigns

- Take ownership of developing and delivering a results-driven digital marketing strategy. Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of multi-channel digital campaigns, using data insights to shape decisions, maximise reach, and drive engagement.

SEO & Website Optimisation -

Implement SEO Strategies and manage content via CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Access Charity CMS)

Social Media Management & Content Creation -

Lead social media strategy and increase engagement with content creation, keeping up to date with trends across all social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok)

Paid Advertising -

Significant hands-on experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and data reporting, as well as a proven track record in running successful campaigns from start to finish

Compliance, best practice & Analytics Reporting -

Ensure all digital activity meets GDPR, use analytics to shape content strategy

Collaboration and Project Management -

Work collaboratively with the small, busy marketing team, as well as supporting with internal campaigns and ensuring brand consistency

Generalist Marketing -

Produce written and visual content with tools such as Adobe Suite and Canva, support with events, fundraising promotions and internal communications.

Required Criteria



Skilled in social media strategy and content creation across major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and TikTok) with a proven ability to grow audiences and improve engagement Confident using Adobe Suite and Canva and experienced in gathering and editing photo and video content for use across online and offline channels Experience using scheduling and content planning tools such as Hootsuite Experience managing or updating websites using CMS platforms Able to interpret data and analytics to inform and improve campaign performance Proven ability to manage complex campaigns on time and within budget, balancing multiple projects

Desired Criteria



Experience working in the charity or not-for-profit sector Understanding of brand guardianship and maintaining visual and tone-of-voice consistency across print and digital assets Experience using or managing digital asset management systems or self-service marketing resources

Guild Care was founded in Worthing in 1933 by visionary volunteers dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals in the local community. Originally known as Worthing Council of Social Service, the organisation focused on alleviating poverty, isolation, and health challenges during difficult times. Over the following decades, Guild Care consistently expanded its services, proactively responding to the community's evolving needs.


In the 1950s and 1960s, Guild Care established innovative day centres and residential care homes, significantly enhancing life quality for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Adapting continually, the charity later introduced specialised dementia care facilities and tailored services for those with learning disabilities.


Today, Guild Care supports over 3,000 people annually across West Sussex through a range of community-focused services. Remaining true to its founding values, the organisation is one of Worthing's largest employers, powered by almost 700 dedicated staff members and the essential contributions of more than 300 volunteers, all united in making a meaningful difference.
