Established in 1999 Raise is an anti-poverty charity offering face-to-face and telephone advice and support for welfare benefits, debt and financial capability at a specialist level. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Communications Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our internal and external communications, ensuring that our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with our organisational goals. This position requires a strong understanding of public relations and the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
Duties
Creating, editing and proof-reading engaging content for web, emails, texts, newsletters, promotional literature, booklets, digital platforms and other marketing materials.
Planning and implementing media relations and identifying opportunities for news stories, interviews, features and photo-opportunities.
organise, source, monitor and create content on social media channels, including video and digital content. Creating appropriate content for website, ensuring designs and content are fresh and up to date.
Finding opportunities and making recommendations for targeted marketing campaigns
Support internal teams with branded materials and messaging.
Ensure all communications reflect the charity's values: respect, accessibility, independence, support, excellence, and confidentiality
Collaborate with service delivery teams to gather stories and data that demonstrate impact.
Working with the Raise management team to update and monitor the Marketing & Communications Strategy.

Qualifications
Experience in communications or public relations is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

Proficiency in using social media platforms for professional purposes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
