As one of our Marketing and Communications Specialists, your job is to ensure that the marketing and communications work we are commissioned to undertake in one or more of these fields is delivered to the highest possible standards, is considered innovative and creative, and importantly is delivered on time and to budget.
In this role, you will manage multiple clients and accounts. This role is for someone who loves variety and is not put off by jumping from one brief in the morning to another brief in the afternoon.
This is a challenging but exciting role that will allow you to develop and grow as a marketer and communicator. As such, we typically would expect you to have a minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role or you can demonstrate an ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects within a similar organisation - such as a marketing agency.
Your role is to champion best practice and ensure that what we design, and deliver is really good and makes a positive difference in our work with clients. You will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing and communication strategies, campaigns and plans. It is a varied role that spans the marketing and communications spectrum and includes research, planning, advertising, digital marketing, public relations, event organisation, product development, distribution, print and much more.
Job functions:
Design/write and deliver creative and imaginative (and cost effective) marketing and communication strategies and plans for our clients, adopting evidenced based best practice and innovation in marketing and communications;
Manage a portfolio of accounts and briefs, reviewing progress regularly and working as part of a team to ensure that the 'client work gets done' according to their brief, to the expected quality standards, and delivered on time and budget; You will be a flag bearer for qualities and standards of the company;
Write highly engaging 'error free' copy in a range of different formats for different channels and different audiences including (but not limited to), social media, blogs, guides, thought leadership, articles, features, press releases, advertising copy, and website copy; ensuring that all content produced adheres to the company's style, or client's style, modifying copy until the client is satisfied;
Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive concepts;
Utilise digital marketing techniques and formats to maximise the outputs of the projects within your accounts. This can include SEO, PPC, programmatic, Social Media Marketing and any other method as relevant to the task;
Champion and use research and data to analyse and inform marketing strategies and plans and determine the metrics for success; monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing communications and adjusting campaigns in real time in response to feedback and data;
Evaluate campaigns and marketing activity and produce dashboards and reports to demonstrate the impact of marketing and communications;
Present detailed written reports and verbal presentations to clients, and act as an expert in your specialism, either on behalf of our clients or Social Change;
Liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis, ensuring exceptional service; providing professional and strategic marketing and communication advice and direction to our clients;
Understand your client's business and objectives; input strategically to develop creative and innovative briefs;
Build fantastic relationships with new and existing clients, managing the beginning to end process of their marketing campaign/project and following up to check on progress when required;
Attend meetings with clients, lead and chair client meetings and service multiple clients concurrently;
Communicate progress and work status to our clients [weekly/ monthly] using email, our CRM and project management software and via various communications channels ensuring information is kept up to date;
Work with the media, identifying opportunities for positive PR for our clients; managing any reactive media requests or enquires promptly, advising clients on PR strategies and media engagement;
Devise and co-ordinate photo and video opportunities; working with photographers and videographers to deliver marketing/ communications content, attending shoots and directing activity;
Commission in-house experts or external experts to work on some elements of delivery, managing a wide range of suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver marketing and communications activity, such as web developers, printers, designers, videographers and photographers; responsible for briefing these suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver all activity to a high standard;
Manage budgets internally, and for external expenditure, work with the Director to record expenditure and ensure activity is delivered within budget and follows all due process;
Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including clients, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations, attending meetings, representing the company;
Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions, representing our clients and our agency; present talks about your specialism or your work;
